CherBear's Thoughts: End of the Year Wrap-Up

So .. the end of 2013 is quickly approaching & well I guess I have plenty to talk about & wrap up.

Fair warning: Plenty to talk about so if you wish to hear the rantings of a crazy bear by all means enjoy. Hopefully its not too long.

First off, hope everyone had a wonderful Merry Christmas. With New Year approaching, if I don't say much after 2014, then Happy 2014 New Year.

So I've come to the conclusion that I had been busy ever since the end of the Halloween. I've been trying to fix my schedule with the whole holiday season that's been going on. I tried to & made adjustments but it hasn't helped much but with the holiday season winding down, I hope that everything will slow down & I can find some sort of normal pace. 

In-between all this: I managed to indulge in a lil bit. What would that be? Doctor Who. After watching the Name of the Doctor, finally the Day of the Doctor showed & then finally the Time of the Doctor. Overall, I still haven't gotten over it but I've been enjoying it. Now the wait for the 12th Doctor...13th?...oops did I anger anyone out there for that statement. Either way, its a long way until 2014 when we get to watch the new Doctor in action.

As for my holidays, it has been blessed. Hanging out with family & relatives, after my revelation this year, I've been slowly starting to heal but sadly with the expense over a tragedy. 

On top of the good moments, the highs & lows, the lows? well ... flooding & odd misfortunate moments, I am trying to keep an optimistic outlook. Same with still trying to find work but like many things & other local friends, its difficult to find stable work. Did I mention ... my twitter account got compromised too? Thankfully that got fixed ... bad joke, anyone want parkas? Ha ha ... oi. Anyways!

With these highs & lows throughout this interesting 2013 ~ overall, I really can't complain.

So with 2014 -- I will keep with the positive outlook. 

What will I try to do with this upcoming year?

- More artwork.

I'll elaborate with the New Year as my attempted resolutions. As for now I'll keep up with at least my traditional artwork & post them up on my instagram. For now, I wish a Happy 2014 New Year.

CherBear's Thoughts: Little Changes

So I wanted to enlighten folks with some little changes I am leaning towards. 

Over on my sticky thread: http://forums.redbana.com/showthread.php?t=187 I've been making changes; relink pictures, sorting pictures & uploading pictures. After some censoring, I had caught some links don't load properly anymore.

As for livestream: I am definitely leaning towards moving Saturday night livestream to Friday nights now. 

Not to mention; I do apologize for not replying back to the messages I do have on deviantART. Ever since Halloween, my timing & scheduling has just been off. 

On and off throughout December I'll be seeing how Fridays are gonna look for livestream drawings & gaming. Other than that, I'm still working on my art when I can & try to set a solid schedule for the new year on top of everything else I am still looking, places I want to go to, trying to do & all the in-betweens that I found myself wrapped in. 

CherBear's Thoughts: A Bad Start to December

So December didn't really start off that great for me...

but before I go into that, I want to wish everyone Happy Holidays & a belated Happy Thanksgiving. I hope everyone celebrated well, ate lots & spent time with good people. I had a good Thanksgiving & spent it with good company.

As for my ordeal, my typical routine of doing laundry went horribly awry. It started off okay. Made myself dinner, gave my dog a bath, cleaned up kitchen, started doing laundry. 1st load went fine, 2nd load ... *sigh* I went back downstairs to find my whole 1st floor flooded & I mean the whole first floor. I ran into the garage, shut off the water valve & called my roommates to let them know what happened. There was maybe half an inch of water? Maybe less but still it was really bad. This has been the 4th incident, this has happened before, 1 other time upstairs from my bathroom & the fridge...out of all those times, this was the worse. Honestly, I still have that lingering guilt. Currently, there's industrial fans & dehumidifiers littered all over the floor. Home insurance was contacted & now its a hopefully quick repair of the first floor. 3-4hrs of sucking up & mopping up water 2-3hrs of moving things out of the closets that had carpet. Either way, ugh, still just not a good start.

Talking to @MiloBear I've come to a realization that my time has been mismanaged & I've been literally all over the place. Whether it was one thing or another, pen & paper roleplay, meet ups, anime screenings, visiting family, hanging out with family, I guess its due to the holidays but still. 

My art? Doing a little more, planning to reschedule my livestream & participate in more contests if time allows it.

My gaming? Casual, nothing has changed too much other than meeting more gamer friends.

Rest of the month? I hope to continue to help with this whole flood fiasco on the 1st floor, other than that, look for work still, hang out with family during the holidays & that's it, I hope. But with how the month started & not knowing the wild factors, I just hope that the rest of the month goes better.

CherBear's Thoughts: November Holi-dazed ~

Well first off ... I want to wish everyone Happy Holidays & an early Happy Thanksgiving to everyone. I do apologize that not much has been really seen or heard of me. My set goals for this month went out the window & frankly I'm not surprised but at the same time a little disappointed in myself.

Some silly random things ... Time to geek out a teeny bit. First off, like I had tweeted; Happy 50th Anniversary to Doctor Who. I admit, I came into this series late as a fan but after watching the seasons I did watch, I really had found myself enjoying the series. The Day of the Doctor is today & I am definitely looking forward to watching it. I also did mention bronies, as a pega-sis; yes I know, season 4 of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic is today too. I was content overall with how Season 3 ended & I did bother to see the movie over the summer. So I will see how this season is & keep an open mind.

In terms of gaming ... 

 - World of Warcraft: Yes, earlier this month was of course Blizz-Con. I had ended up mentioning things here & there but overall. I can only say after the announcements, I'm still well ... I guess I have no opinion over the expansion. I guess I will have to wait & see when more information about the expansion is announced & maybe I may get psyched over that.

- Audition *Redbana*: Guilty, I think I've officially not been on there for about a month. I've been keeping up with seeing what folks post on the forum boards its just ... I guess without good company, I haven't been compelled to go on ... or no one's asked me. Pick one.

- mStar *SG*: I've been lurking about this game & I admit, its been fun meeting new people & making new friends. I've found myself doing a little more fan art from here too for fun & I look forward to doing more in the future.

- World of Tanks: I've managed to go on when my friends have asked but strangely enough; I've been enjoying the artillery line. I've been asking around about mod recommendations but I haven't really gotten any responses...hmm...

- Other video games/games in general?: Well I think I've been trying on & off with seeing what's been going on but my time has just gotten so clustered.

In terms of art ...

I had said I was gonna try to livestream during November, I think I've only done it a couple of times & I'm pretty sure they weren't falling on a Saturday. I will try sometime today to livestream again & see if I can work through my artistic void. Hopefully I will see some new & familiar faces.

Personal ongoings ...

On top of all that, I think a lot of my other inactivity besides due to juggling gaming has been things that have been going on personally. Looking for work, spending time with family, getting other tasks done, meet ups & just everything else in-between ... oh not to mention, I was sick at the beginning & middle of the month? Good times. Don't get me wrong, I do like it & enjoy a different change of pace, but at the same time, I feel like I'm dragging & the stresses behind all the things I won't express that's been going on has been leaving my stomach in metaphorical knots. Either way, I'm still trying but goodness ... not even sure if anyone misses me or notices my absence.

Finally ...

This does conclude everything for this month in a nutshell. I know with Thanksgiving later in the next week I can try to probably do one more journal but with everything that has been going on...I just don't know. Those who have bothered to read this or has shared their support or has spoken to me whenever I've been on, believe me when I say, I am thankful for this ongoing support that has been going on for even this long. So for now, if I don't post again near the end of November, I look forward to December & see where I can go from there.

CherBear's Thoughts: Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween everyone!

There's always something about today that makes it fun. I only have a couple of hours before I don on some animal pjs & greet little trick or treaters by the door. 

I've been feverishly trying to get some contests done within the next couple of days but I've been also playing games & attempting to get my name out there more in other games that I've found myself playing. I'm trying not to do it in excess ... really trying but meeting new folks who may or may not be friends in the long run.

I blame my new phone & just the ability to take random scenic, food & animal pictures once again on such a random whim & post'em on instagram (id user: lilcherbear). 

I continue onto the month of November & ending this year to look for work while working on artwork. My trip to Las Vegas & any other celebration that involved weddings are long behind me, so the holiday gatherings with family & relatives are on the horizon. 

Keeping it simple but busy. So I wish everyone once again a - Happy Halloween. Please stay safe out there while trick or treating or whatever you do while having fun. I look forward to the next month & end of the year with optimism.

CherBear's Thoughts: Mini Update before Halloween

So obviously I have a lil bit to say before Halloween ...

First off; I do apologize, if I haven't been busy going to meet ups or hanging out with locals, I've found myself catching a cold that had put me out for about a week. How do I feel? Well I've gotten better, considering I'm a slow healer, it took me a week to recover.

I haven't ... really had a chance to draw because I've been going out, looking for work, being sick or being caught up in mmo games. Mmo games? Well there is World of Tanks, mStar, World of Warcraft or Audition Online: Redbana. I'm trying to ease up & re-prioritize my time in order to actually even try to participate in contests that have deadlines & work on other artwork I've had held off on doing.

Lastly ... I had decided on a sheer whim to start an instagram, so if anyone would like to follow me my user id is lilcherbear I take random obscure pictures, food & other things while I am out & about that eventually either get posted onto my tumblr & twitter. 

Other than that ... I am ready for Halloween. Looks like I will be passing out candy alone but either way, I have fun looking at folks in costume so I look forward to this year too. Until then ... take care!

CherBear's Thoughts: Happy Birthday Thoughts!

First off ... Happy Birthday to deviantART @MiloBear! It is also our lil 5yr Audi Anniversary together since we had officially coupled in game. I know, some people can see that it's a little silly I know, but sentimentally sweet considering we've kept at it for this long. He's been a wonderful Audi/mStar/5Street/HighStreet couple & has put up with my craziness for this long. So feel free to leave a message w/ him if you want. I just want to put that out there.

Now down to business ... Happy October everyone! There's always something in the air about this month that is always nice. No, not for all those folks who are subjected to wildfires this time of the year (...like me.) but for the fun, mystery & madness.

I hadn't really been able to post until now & I've been playing catch up. Why? Because of my recent trip to Vegas for a family wedding. How was it? Good! I hadn't been back to Las Vegas in a while so being there was nice & all the yummy food there.

Shortly after, I decided to unwind & well there was another lil anniversary I celebrated which was quaint.

Now that I'm still catching up, I hope to get through all these messages eventually & be back up to speed. I have a lot of other things to do so hopefully we'll see where it goes.

As for the job hunt, I had a few calls, a few interviews but no call backs, just means more searching while working on commissions & expanding past that with some other options I haven't fully committed to yet.

The rest of the month looks to be calm, maybe another wedding I think but other than that, no trips I think but you never know.

Audition Online: Redbana - Guilty enough, I haven't been on but I have been keeping track of what's been going on. I do see there is at least one contest, I wanna participate for fun so I look to hopefully work on that.

mStar: Garena/Singapore - I've yes, been playing this game a lil more frequently. I had initially told this to my sis PieBear- who eventually coaxed me to start too. It's been fun & I've been trying my hand at some fan art for here for a lil change of pace. I've had a couple of friends join me too.

HighStreet5: Singapore - Inactively inactive, but I hope to reinstall & see what's been going on there.

World of Tanks: NA West - I've been getting into something completely different, admittingly its fun when I want a change of pace & just roam in a tank, shoot & blow things up.

World of Warcraft: Farstriders - I haven't logged on recently due to running around a lot. I know the rest of LFR is up so I hope to try that out with @MiloBear sometime & see how that goes.
