CherBear's Reflections: July 2012

End of July!

Yes, yes okay...summer isn't quite exactly over but it is nearing an end. I've been getting back to the swing of things, getting all my artwork & projects done when I can.  There's something 'bout going to these conventions that tend to inspire someone or renew their drive to draw.

Thankfully - my laptop a couple of week so far & things seem to be stabling out alright for now. So I've been able to get to a regular routine of drawing, this includes livestream.

A lot of personal things are going on my mind & on my end, this attempt to self improve this living situation is moving in a snail pace direction but I've yet to see where this will take me.

For now - need to finish all these art projects ~ ciao for now ... onward August!

Summer Days are nearing an end ...

So low & behold - after the company this summer, the summer convention for me has neared an end for me. Really have no plans for any fall or winter conventions so I must wait...

Going back to a life of normalcy.

I honestly say after reflecting back this 2012 summer it's been actually quite memorable & happy for me overall.

From the fun fair food to the conventions, a little bit of every memory pretty much made me smile...regardless of the roller coaster of randomness that happened during that duration.

Not to mention...

Inspired me in some way.

2013 is still far away & I still expect changes in the horizon but who knows - I have to keep Comic Con 2013 in mind for next year.

Anyways, I look forward to finishing up these current projects, posting them & everything. My laptop seems to be stable for now - so I shall not jinx that.

A more post wrap up this month & onward to August ~

San Diego Comic Con 2012

So my convention season is officially over. It's been a couple of days since San Diego Comic Con & the main question was - "How was it?". I can simply say that regardless of me complaining about the little things it was indeed quite exhausting. Don't get me wrong, it's a good kind of exhaustion if anything. It felt like everything had went by so quickly & that there are new changes for San Diego Comic Con registration..again that may not work in my favor this year.

So breaking down each day --

Preview night: Not bad - ended up people watching over at the observation deck & took some pics. I wanted to get the floor when it was busy & empty.

Day 1: Didn't really move from the staff room ... oh right did I mention this is my 3rd year as being staff this year? Either way, watched some anime, did my shift, took a break then did my 2nd shift.

Day 2: I took some time to actually hit all walls of the convention. Not as good as last year where I had actually covered the whole floor. Made some mental notes of nice things I saw over there. Other than that, did the remainder of my 2 shifts once again. 1st wasn't so bad, 2nd was quite fun & funny.

Day 3: Idle - granted I had been exhausted, hung out & relaxed eventually Masquerade Ball came around & it had been fun.

Day 4: Exhaustion hit a new high considering the fact it was the last day. Milo was sweet enough to get me some coffee but for some odd reason I still was dragging feet so much. Granted perhaps my judgement did propel to have me leave on a good note with the anime staff by picking up the only other empty shift available that day. Made a new friend & had fun.

Overall - hung out with friends & family. Milo & I made the best of it too. I think regardless of some emotional rollercoaster issues that I had been going through on top of con, its been good. Milo's still here until Tuesday & I'll miss him once he ends up leaving. :(!

CherBear's Reflections/Aspirations: July 2012

July is in full swing & plenty to cover --

Sadly to say I am not quite back ~ I am taking a bit of a hiatus. I'll continue elaborating on the ongoings & why I will be gone.

I tried to participate in the Sizzling Doodle contest over in Redbana but JUST as I thought my laptop had been in working order - another crash. So - I was back in square one - reinstalling & reparing just before getting ready for Anime Expo over in L.A.

Being technically gone for the next 4 days - hung out with family & then ended up over at Anime Expo.

Day 1 - Not bad. Late start - didn't expect the X-Games to be there. Met up with some family. Checked out cosplayers, had a new comer new to the convention scene experience Anime Expo & enjoyed it. Took some pictures, made some memorable moments then headed home.

Day 2 - Late start - but had met up with family again. Talked about SDCC plans - stuff to do & what to expect. Either way ... made it to Anime Expo, checked out the floor then remained in line for Masquerade. Met up with a in-game friend & ended the night on a good note.

I had gotten the majority updated & fixed until I finally got home - another failure kept popping up until I resolved that. It's been a day or so ... ran some test settings on livestream.

Either way - cleaning up, gonna be gone for for the next 5 days for San Diego Comic Con then another week or so cuz me & :devmilobear: are hanging out.

As I had mentioned to some good friends, I'll resume posting, drawing & livestreaming after that ... if my laptop survives. For now, my convention season is nearing an end! Gonna make the best of it!
