CherBear's Thoughts: Oct 2017 + Apr 2018
Hello all!
This is a fair warning, this'll be a fairly long wall of text mainly because I will be covering what's been going down since September 2017, so....October 2018 'til the end of this April. I'll try to make this interesting for the most part.
-----
Gaming - I think I had been spending enough free time just wandering around dancing games. Whether it was Touch, Love Dance, Dance On or Audition it's been that constant rotation. Not that I didn't mind that for the past few months it's been fun. Especially meeting people who have recognized my artwork that I run to in-game who've told me they've always liked my artwork. Honestly - those are always the more heart warming moments that fuels me to continue to do what I do. Now, I also do bounce around other games World of Tanks, I haven't been on in a hot minute, World of Warships, not really either BUT, after a 2 year hiatus - I've managed to make my way back to World of Warcraft once again. Now, I'm kinda laughing to myself because I'm 2 expansions behind and was trying so very hard not to get back into it but I caved in. It kinda piled into a lot of reconnecting to a lot of people from there that I hadn't spoken to in that time span. Honestly, I'm rather glad I managed to because I do realize how much I've missed their friendship and remind myself how awful of a friend I had been - I'd like to hope I can blame life but...let's be honest...probably isn't the case. On another offhand note...I have Pokemon Ultra Moon...I swear I'll eventually play through it. The other mobile games? I play when I can of course.
-----
Art - So, I've been entirely busy with commissions. I've managed to get back down to 2 active commissions from 10 slots but I am fueled by my 2018 new year's resolution to meet my obligations whether its commissions, requests or such to be done one way or another. Regardless - it's been a good driving force. I've also been able to keep within a structured schedule - its now starting to show some promise these several months in but I won't hold too much into it; it's good to feel busy.
-----
Life - So this'll be hard to properly format this without me going into tangents.
October: Perhaps the most memorable part was definitely Halloween. Granted I had been tasked to giving out candy it's been great to see all these trick or treaters. Did I do my lil candy game? Of course, not as many winners though it also feels like that there wasn't as many trick or treaters either.
November - January: So the holiday season I will wrap it up; it was pretty good granted kinda kept to myself. I tried to attend family functions but the timing really didn't work out well. Regardless; I was definitely thankful to make into the new year. I did come to a new, new year's resolutions: try to meet my art obligations.
February: This was kind of a lull month. I had a good Valentine's day but I had start planning for next month since I knew it was going to be busy.
March-April: So fast forward - end of the month, I ended up going to WonderCon for a few days under odd circumstances. It wasn't too bad - I got to meet up w/ my cousins in LA. BABS Con was pretty good granted it was a couple of days - saw a bit of the convention & got to roam around the Bay Area once again.
Overall: I've been internally stressed but its due to a lot of irl issues starting to bombard me & I realize I gotta hope to hit some major strides if I'm gonna meet some end goals the end of this year - what would that be? Moving out to a new place; I will spare the details but its just been something that's been entertained for quite awhile & with how things are going - I'm hoping to meet it. Thankfully there hasn't been no electronic issues on my end...not yet at least but please, let me not jinx it. TV has been a good time sink. I was internally considering Netflix but opted for WoW.
-----
Social Media - Has been maintained for the most part. I try to keep them updated when I can.
Youtube channel - other than my weekly tuesday Art Rewind ; past art livestream post. I'm revisiting other livestreams that were post, they might be reposted again due to issues I'm running into.
FB page: [ www.facebook.com/cherbearsketchbook ] - everything has usually been posted every Tuesday or Friday when I can, hopefully more than just videos since the queue on my dA has posted finished artwork instead of WIPs.
DA: With MiloBear's help - I've extended my premium to another year. I totally appreciate that since I'm more active on here vs other art gallery websites. I'll continue to post old WIP livestream SS but hopefully more finished works that I had done.
By all means; check the other links to see what's been updated, usually things are posted daily, if not, Tuesdays and Friday for sure.

For now thanks for reading this lil bear rant, be sure to check out my twitter [ twitter.com/LilCherBear ] for any up-to-date agendas, such as livestream announcements, random thoughts & such or my instagram [ instagram.com/lilcherbear/ ] for some views of my SoCal life, food & art.

CherBear's Thoughts: April + May 2017
Hello everyone -
I had planned to write out my thoughts for this month yesterday; I'm just not sure where my time went with that. Either way; guess it makes today a double post which is fine. Better to do this sooner than completely forget for this month.
-----
So not much to say in terms of game wise; still in the same rotation of games but now also playing Touch ironically enough. It almost felt like it was a forced moment but either way; there's some cute gaming moments in there but past that I haven't played frequently, its just a different pace to all the other games I had been playing.
-----
As for my laptop, my Alienware returned & I don't mind. It's good & had been puttering around on there for a bit. Fixing settings & will attempt to livestream on there some time to see how it goes. Other than that; things have gotten slow but I've also been attempting to be semi-productive w/ working on artwork, commissions and such too since it looks like my plans for this month will definitely slow down.
-----
Ongoing steps forward artistic wise. I have continued to post videos on my youtube channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCSkM6Yvkf4z-psS4gE2cq4A . Still gotta edit when I can while livestream when I do. Here's some other videos posted:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=66sR8oNFyuc&t=15s
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2xeNkLAdOGQ
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g5rLV_AACM0
I had also been posting more artwork to be queued when I don't look at my deviantART. I in theory have things posted until July - I still have more to post up as usual. Rest assured you'll continue to see more stuff from me throughout this year. As long as I keep at it [encouragement is always a plus ;) lol].I continue to attempt to play catch up on every other social outlet fairly soon but give it time - if I remember to haha ~ cuz I'm not sure where my time is at. :(.
-----
Either way I feel fortunate for now but always feel like I can be doing more or wanting to do so much more. So I continue to venture forward into 2017 optimistic.Thank you for listening to a lil art bear's rant.

CherBear's Thoughts: March + April 2017
Hello everyone -
Hopefully it hasn't been too long since my last rant. I think when things start to slow down; I manage to find a groove but I'm not sure how long this lull will last BUT I am trying to get a few things done just in case - worse case scenario; I end up being busy for the next year or not. Either way - plenty to discuss perhaps.
-----
So I will save the lengthy stuff for last which is plenty of art related stuff & start with gaming first. Other than my hiatus on most of my games. I had posted up to date which games I'm currently active on - on a mmo scale; which is Love Dance Mobile & Audition. In-between all of that, my lil bit of indulgence so to speak has been Yandere Simulator. Granted it is still in a debug build phase, it's been a fun lil game to putter around & try.
- Yandere Simulator: Why? Why not? I had been seeing lil youtube videos of other people's gameplay & I admit, I was a bit intrigued. Finally; after awhile I managed to download and try the game. So far I've liked it & tried some of the things I had seen online and it been enjoyable.
- Love Dance: Recently I had gotten back into the game after my initial introduction by @Oddbrother ; it has been proven fairly interesting because since its a mobile game - its something more easily accessible on my day to day on the go.
- Audition Online [Redbana]: Oh goodness, its technically coming on 8 years for Redbana & a total of 10yrs [11yrs including beta] for the game on the North America server overall. I'd like to do something [maybe finally collab with Shoo if we can squeeze in the time] for it but I can't make definite promises this early on.
-----
Life ongoing; my poor Alienware laptop had finally kaput. I had sent it to a friend sometime in March to look into what was wrong & he told me ultimately in the end the motherboard died. So I gave permission to get it to functional but least to say I'm definitely appreciative [and owe him so much]. Why when I have a current laptop [and pretty much has better specs?] ... one word, sentimentality that I've had for it for 9yrs. What do I have purpose wise for it after all the repairs? A back up to my current laptop just in case...cuz knowing my luck.
Past that; I've been keeping busy, going out, trying out new recipes & been trying to plot out my plans properly. After my inner realization that I'm all over the place; not good - I gotta try to focus. I also am looking to try to find stable work after July realistically. So here's hoping. Other than that, I had sold my old truck finally; got it working & proof that its working so it was sold for a decent reasonable price. There's been birthdays, hanging out with family & friends...whew, as I said. I feel like I've been pulled around everywhere.
-----
As you have noticed; I've been taking steps forward somewhere artistic wise. I have set up my youtube channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCSkM6Yvkf4z-psS4gE2cq4A & had posted my first video. I still have plenty uploaded that I'm planning to post once a week but it doesn't mean I shouldn't be contiuing with video editing & uploading past livestreams - so no worries; its kinda a experiment to see where that goes.
I look to fulfill this 'creator' itch by attempting to finish some designs to make & order all before uhm realistically in July. I think that's reasonable but we'll see.
I had been posting more artwork to be queued when I don't look at my deviantART. I in theory have things posted until June - I still have more to post up [ a lot of artwork done for Pacific PonyCon 2017 ] but apparently you can post at most 90 days out from the current day [ thanks uh core membership? ]. Rest assured you'll continue to see more stuff from me throughout this year. As long as I keep at it [encouragement helps ;) lol].
I also have been dabbling in sending some personal artwork out to friends & furthering out my options long term wise.
I look to catch every other social outlet fairly soon but give it time - if I remember to haha.
Will I be busy? I can't faithfully answer that until May.
So...you can probably guess I do have plenty on my mind.
-----
Either way I feel fortunate for now but always feel like I can be doing more or wanting to do so much more. So I continue to venture forward into 2017 optimistic.
Thank you for listening to a lil art bear's rant. You may hear from me again hopefully by the end of this month.

CherBear's Thoughts: San Diego Comic Con 2016!
San Diego Comic Con 2016 quickly approaches!
I know - I simply passed up Anime Expo 2016 but from what I hear, depending on who you hear it from & where they were coming from, overall, 100,000 unique attendees? Good for them.
I know - I simply passed up Anime Expo 2016 but from what I hear, depending on who you hear it from & where they were coming from, overall, 100,000 unique attendees? Good for them.
San Diego Comic Con has been a Christmas in July thing not only for me, but for friends & family. I really look forward to it. With the convention contract extending to 2018, I look forward to see where this goes considering I've been going since well..forever haha! I've seen it transform into an event that spills out into Downtown San Diego & its something you're either going to have to have fun & enjoy the scene or stay clear of if you're not big into large crowds.
So that's where all the silence has been, I've either been busy wrapping up projects & assigning projects for another convention.
Then I gotta make sure my place is ready for family who'll be crashing with me during the convention.
Taking some of today & into tomorrow to just prep some artwork I had worked on to be posted during my week hiatus. While enviously watching other folks play Pokemon Go.
Don't worry, I haven't completely surrendered to the overwhelming hype...yet, I'll see after the con since I really need to get in gear with other things...curse you priorities.
As for some other things, I have been drawing but on & off on my sketchbook. Ended up writing too & a good friend ended up sending me some awesome stuff while he ends up moving to start a new life. I wish him nothing but the best & hope that this life change doesn't break the contact.
I'll try to document my day to day at San Diego Comic Con though, so by all means. Be sure to follow my twitter [ @LilCherBear ] & Instagram [ lilcherbear ] to see what I manage to see & try to catch as much of the scene not only within the convention but outside the convention too.
I'll wrap up the month with thoughts & hopefully squeeze more drawing in. Its something about the convention scene that inspires me to be creative.

But for now - I am alive! And look out, there's a pikachu right behind you.

CherBear's Thoughts: A surreal moment
First off, by all means - check out this video:
Yes, this is for Pacific PonyCon that'll be held in San Diego, CA January 8-10,2016. I know, I rarely don't push to promote...or maybe I do & I don't realize it, its really just neat to see this animation I think.
It is one of those moments where you know a creation you made & another creation you helped develop & create come to life like that & it being an animation promotion? Even better! Yes, I do mean MissionBelle & SilverStrand the OCs of Pacific PonyCon.
As for the rest of my wandering thoughts, I am really happy to see how another commission I did for someone else turned out & I really hope to do more commissions in the future.
Other than thank you for the birthday wishes, the Super Blood Moon eclipse that recently happened, a bunch of meet ups I went to, being generally exhausted from the warm weather, believe it or not...I am looking forward to Halloween...the end of the year quickly approaching & what not, still gonna keep working at it in one capacity or another.
Anyways, that is all folks! 'Til next time, keep creating!

CherBear's Thoughts: July Wrap Up
Tomorrow is August & its amazing how we're nearing the end of the year...
I know...I know...but c'mon have you not come across your social media feeds of countdowns for Halloween? Christmas? Next thing you know New Year's will be the next thing I talk about.
Anyways, I think I've successfully recovered over earlier this month. My convention will be quiet until January - granted I will still be busy in one form or another but that's what I'm essentially looking at.
Granted; on my end, its been rather muggy & humid. Familiar weather on my end but hasn't been made present for a few years so its just a matter of adjusting...& plenty of complaining.
So what's in the horizon? Well let's see.
More little artwork pieces for Pacific PonyCon [ pacificponycon.com/ + @ pacific_ponycon *twitter* ] here in San Diego, CA from now until January.
Looking for work once again in some capacity since my previous line up of work fell through. Don't get me wrong! I have no regrets there - glad to know they're doing a lot better.
More individual works / fan art pieces / etc. in the meantime.
Gaming? Probably...been peeking around Audition Online, gotta see what this fuss over the new patch on WoW is & start working on that before this supposed rumored expansion they're announcing, try out maybe World of Warships?...the list goes on, for now - I will see ya'll on Wondertrade in ORAS ^_~ <3 p="">
Afterall, the intention is there just at the moment - the weather has been canceling out my renewed inspirational drive to create more after San Diego Comic Con.
Besides, this year has been alright; hasn't been spectacular - but at the same time - its not as bad as other years...I'd like to think I'm slowly progressing forward in that capacity.
Also, some silly mundane things as prepping my DVR for fall shows. Been enjoying some such such as We Bare Bears.
But other than that I've been focusing on myself or my family to that capacity.
We'll see how August will treat me as I slowly inch closer towards 2016.3>

CherBear's Thoughts - SDCC2015 Day 4
Its a bittersweet moment, after the complaining of how exhausted I am, wondering if SDCC was over & just overall being 'con tired' it is finally over.
I'm not sure why but it always tends to happen, near the end on Sundays are very lazy moments. Got there fairly late to the convention only to put in my remaining time. In the meantime I was able to meet up w/ old friends & catch up. Got to watch some new & old anime then head out to another meet up. The night ended up w/ a lil celebration before just finally getting some rest.
Was able to actually score an exclusive & get extras in hopes of a return in investment but we'll see how that'll go. Past that it was nice for me & the group I had been with for the past 4 days to watch the convention pack up, I thanked them & hope to work w/ them again next year.
As for my final thoughts: I think this year was different like every other year, it wasn't too bad & I think the layout & lines were a bit more orderly. The new location where I've been putting time in I think was a lil more successful this year & hope that our group will remain for the following 2016.
My cousin, who I was able to get him in, asked if he would do this all again & he said yes. With that, here's hoping we get to return for another year w/ SDCC changing their registration policies.
So even though the convention is over & I think essentially my con season too, I would chalk this to another successful year. Time to go back into hibernation!

CherBear's Thoughts - Day 3: Masquerade Madness
Woke up after passing out, technically day 4 has started but I wanted to briefly sum up about Day 3.
Even though Day 3 is usually my relaxed Day due to sitting around in line for Masquerade Ball later in the evening; didn't really change any facts of what I had to do that day. Guess there's truth in the idea of each year tends to be a little different from the last & this time isn't any different.
With an early start off w/ me & an extended family of sorts that gather in a line for Ballroom 20 Masquerade Ball happens about as early as 6am. Line management seemed to be attempting to be as strict as usual but at the same time - things were rather orderly. Picking up for tickets were fairly early too, 12:00? Well it isn't too bad considering that I did have to put in my time to give back to the con in an hour...we ironically only needed about 40 tickets for our group this time...heh.
I didn't see much of the floor but more of the upstairs for once, I got to wander around the sails pavillion on my way to my 1 priority.
Granted I know there were other things going on, I did manage to go to the Person of Interest panel a lil later that afternoon. As much as I was on the fence 'bout going [like most panels because I can look for it online in a few weeks] I'm glad I went. Seeing the cast there & being surprised that it'll only be 13 episodes this time around as a mid-season series. I guess when your ratings starts to be in question; things do tend to happen.
We had our pizza run later into the evening, picked up & delivered to our line spot before going into the main event: Masquerade Ball.
Now I have to admit; I admire all the time, effort & imaginative creativity cosplayers go through to perform & w/ 33 entries, it wasn't too bad.
After the showcase; a lil live entertainment from Saber's Guild was pretty good & some shorts & clips afterwards before announcing the winners that night.
It was a good night w/ friends, family, new, extended & old into the mix. With that being said, time to get ready for the last day.

CherBear's Thoughts - SDCC2015 Day 2
Into the wee morning hours once again, I took a brief nap once I got home, mainly because I was trying to unplug myself so to speak from another day - it worked but eventually I should go to sleep for another day is approaching.
So what to discuss about...oh yes...venturing outside the Con; no I know I preached it but some of ya'll wonder do I really do it? Well I did, I managed to check out into the Downtown Gaslamp area for San Diego & I do stand by my statement. The interactive zone over at Petco Park was cute this year tho I have heard it was more lively last year w/ what was taking over the area & its fine, every year is different. Gaslamp Downtown was just another site within itself that just makes things rather different & unique. To see Downtown San Diego especially within the Gaslamp area transform for these events is something. In short of my adventure of taking in the sites & sounds, some free swag, some free snacks & a lot of relaxing. I also made my way over to the Marriot & Hyatt to see how things were as well. Ppl still went & there was plenty to do as I say once again...y'really don't need badges. Observing, I can safely guess the ratio of badge to non-badge folks wandering around is respectably 1:3.
Submitting my time to give back & seeing all the announcements; Star Wars, MLP: FiM & other sorts were pretty cool. Also, managed to go to the Kung Fury panel & as funny & great as that had been, the message was pretty sound - pursue your dreams & risk everything.
Some folks have been voicing how its not the same or its lost its luster, others wonder why ppl go there when they themselves aren't into the comic pop culture. As, as I would like to say, a veteran going for over 10+ years can understand the reasonings why ppl have been voicing their opinion. I can only humbly speculate as I think over these thought provoking voices stating their opinions. Why have I been going? Why have others flocked here if they are completely obvious to the pop culture that SDCC is providing to the masses?
I have to agree to one sentiment; its not that one con is better than the other, it is about friends going w/ friends & w/ me hanging out w/ good company for about 10+ has helped. My purpose has changed within the 10+ as an attendee, a good part of it has become apart of the volunteering, its a different insight, greater appreciation of how things are run in a convention, more friends [to hug fellow volunteers that y'work w/ in the same department is nice...granted its not everyday friends it is like I guess the best way to put it, long time friends coming together for 5 days] & the opportunity to show other friends the SDCC experience because they've never been or help folks who couldn't score tickets to come.
As for that anamoly, I think w/ ppl hyping how SDCC is; it became a curiousity factor. They may not be initially pop culture fans at first but after being there, some either become hooked or are satisified & feel there's no reason to go again...I wish the latter was more common but I think my first hunch is a more accurate statement. Afterall; especially w/ ppl I work with in volunteer staffing & even my long time local friends - it became a 'you're going to what con again?' to 'OMG you're going to Comic-Con, can you get me tickets?!' As much as ppl think this has long stopped being a convention 'bout comics...it is ironically a common theme among the con. It has a lil bit of something for everyone but at the same time its that lil bit of something in all reality became a large blob. Yes, from the video games to the movies & other promotional stints were inspired by something comic book based & if it wasn't; it had become its own comic within the next few years.
With Saturday being day 3. I am fairly ready...thanks for following me on twitter / instagram [ @ lilcherbear ] ; I'll hopefully have more pictures but w/ my plans to be fairly relaxed for the big ol' Masquerade Ball, we shall see. For now ~ nap time!

CherBear's Thoughts - SDCC2015 Day 1
Into the wee hours of the morning, I should be resting with it being technically day 2 but my days are long & I get home fairly late.
Now how did Day 1 officially go...
Well from what I can tell, a lot of exclusive scenes had come out for various shows, a lot of celebs made their appearences, nerd girls with boyband crushes got their hugs & closures & plenty of more with cosplayers making their way out in masses...did I mention a symphony at the park featuring Pokemon music?
I did wanna wander the floor more & have a lil more fun; ironically my priorities weren't any panels, if I did make it to one...it was rather on a spurr of the moment.
Everything I think was worthwhile, Doctor Who's exclusive clip, Bill Murray rockin' out like a rockstar, exclusive premire showing of Bare Bears on top of a Masquerade Ball-esque type panel w/ the creator of Bare Bears & voice actors Finn & Marceline & yes, much more.
I don't think I had heard anything bad happen & it was another day of things going smoothly...I may be wrong though considering I'm only 1 of 130,000 in the convention & 1 of 160,000+ within Downtown, San Diego.
One of the things that did perk my interest, down in Downtown, San Diego there is a Snoopy inflatable house & if you go in there, there's a lil slide/play area & a pen where you can play with...yes, puppies. They're only around for so long during the day so it is definitely if you wanna play with puppies over in Downtown, San Diego, that's one place. Other events I've heard is a last chance to reserve $25 opportunities for a warehouse Zombie Survival Paintball ordeal. There's plenty of more to list, the Adult Swim Carnival, the Assassin's Creed place & well I can go on & on, on top of Conan filming this week.
I submitted 4hrs of my day to give back to the convention & ensure things went smoothly, thankfully being back within the convention - it was nice; it felt like more ppl were wandering in to check things out but I do miss the lil office room where our group had set up snacks & food to get us by throughout the days of this convention...
Hopefully enjoyed the lil tweets & instagram pics being posted [ @ lilcherbear (for both twitter & instagram) ]. Hopefully will take pics of cosplayers but for now, just random shots around within the convention. Take care folks!

CherBear's Thoughts - SDCC2015 Preview Night
Evening folks. It is 'bout 2am & I will attempt to keep it short & sweet.
Preview Night - strangely enjoyable regardless of the lack of presence from Marvel & Paramount. Does this phase me? Not so much.
Everything feels a bit more organized at least the chaos wasn't as apparent from what I can tell. Folks seems very wide eyed & happy to be here considering it is Preview Night.
...did I mention I sat next to a woman who dropped $2.6k on merchandise...on PREVIEW NIGHT?
While I was walkin' 'round with company...I have to admit though, even though I've been to other conventions - whether this is being a lil bias or not ... there's a bit of a different vibe here that I've always enjoyed regardless.
Anyways, I did manage to post stuff up on instagram [so if ya follow twitter or my instagram it is on there! (handle @ lilcherbear for both twitter & instagram) ] of what I have been seeing throughout the evening.
When we wrapped up & got essentially kicked outta the floor, folks that are w/ me might have best summed up how Day 1 will be 'absolute chaos'. Hopefully the staff will keep it together as they always do...though come to think of it...I did see an ambulance roll on by.
Hmm...
WELL I should at least try to get 4hrs of sleep & start my adventure up again tomorrow, stay tuned for more pictures, thoughts, sketches & random madness. Stay classy San Diego! ;)

CherBear's Thoughts: SDCC ... wait there's more!
Greetings & salutations ~ first off, hope everyone's had a safe & enjoyable 4th of July my fellow americans. It's a new month & I'm exhausted. I can honestly blame the weather.
I know Anime Expo 2015 is nearing an end & granted I miss it, its okay. I don't think I'm ready to discover that new degree of 'con tired' quite yet. To those who can or are powering through both Anime Expo & San Diego Comic Con...kudos to you.
In the next 3 days San Diego Comic Con 2015 is coming up; another year that I can honestly say I'm thankful to be apart of. Over 130,000 ppl at the San Diego Convention center and another 30,000-40,000 just lingering around Downtown San Diego, as I would like to sweetly put it; San Diego's Christmas in July. Hopefully the weather this past couple of weeks won't dictate the next 2 weeks.
San Diego has recently announced they are extending their contract to 2018; delaying a lingering inevitable having to move out due to the high demand not only by vendors/exhibitors but also the attendees. The main stay question is will they build a 3rd extension to an ever so large convention center? Only time will tell.
I've prompted my place for visitors for the next couple of weeks so I will be more or less busy. Be sure to follow me on either twitter [ @ lilcherbear ] or instagram [ @ lilcherbear ] for pictures from San Diego Comic Con, random doodle drawings from me & hopefully much more. I'll occasionally hop on, maybe do a brief day to day updates, thoughts & goings but I'm banking on the fact I'll pass out each day. We'll see how it goes!
Even though San Diego Comic Con is 5 days, I will have company for 2 weeks so after the 21st, I'm not quite sure where the direction of my life is going. I have a vague idea of what it is but I won't say until that day comes, for now. I just gotta prepare for the now & worry about the later when it approaches closer.
I hope / attempt to - livestream more & try to balance my artwork along with projects I contribute that I like to call - Project: PPC [ Pacific PonyCon ]. I'll be posting a couple of more journal entries before hoping the rest of my queues take over but at the latest will probably be July 8th, for now. Time to take a moment to relax & unwind while I can.
Take care folks!

CherBear's Thoughts: Musings over February
Last day of February ...
I won't lie or sugar coat it - I have been busy, there's no mystery behind that but its a lil more complicated which I will try to keep it short & not a tl;dr situation.
Some brief mentionings, during my last BSOD & repair back in December/January; it did it again in February - but it was due to some updates & I was in a rush to pack my laptop before allowing that to finish fully update & I've learned my lesson. Its fixed & stabilized for now.
Other good news; temporary work that's bringing in some much needed extra income. So I got myself a 2tb HD, among making & meeting a short term goal list that I've been meeting & checking off while I'm in this predicament. Its been going for 3 weeks so far; a huge adjustment - but hopefully I'll be able to get a routine down & get the opportunity to work on more drawings while being in this situation so for now I've been sorting & condensing files on my HD & re-doing files on my USB. I haven't been able to really sit & draw / color on my laptop other than this past Friday...but its understandable - new routine & being accommodating takes time & patience; it has been a full 2 weeks & I think there's a routine that is workable - we'll see how it'll hold up for the next 2 1/2 weeks before a 2 week break. Oh did I mention this situation has been on a week by week basis? Which explains a 2 week hiatus later in March; which I don't mind but at the same time - but the possibility of missed extra income coming in for those 2 1/2 weeks to meet other short term goals I had set for myself...oh well, can't complain for now.
It hasn't meant I haven't been drawing - its just been traditional drawings for the most part so I'm content.
Also, full swing on some other projects involving Mission Belle, an Anniversary drawing I hope to collaborate w/ a friend before April & perhaps a contest & trying to go big?
Just glad this optimism is working to my favor for once so I look to capitalize on it while I can & hope more good things happen within 2015.
Will keep trying to post while I can for now regardless of the somewhat busy schedule! Take care folks!

CherBear's Thoughts: Organizing in the new 2015yr
First off -
A late Merry Christmas & Happy New Year to everyone.
I do apologize for basically not being around. Ever since 12/12/2014, my laptop crashed once again & I had finally gotten it working a lil after Christmas. I'm still sorting & organizing but its so many files & I'm making a checklist of things I will eventually need because it seems like this has been an ongoing issue with my laptop I'll have maybe a year at minimum before the next serious BSOD crash. Basically - I got an error that's saying that I need to replace my HD/Video Drive for my laptop. For me to reinstall the OS is just delaying everything for 'bout a year roughly & its been a ongoing issue for the past few years already - so in short, a new external & thumbdrive in my future to move all files to then start a refurbishing process. I'm seeing the next time it BSODs on me - I'll pro'ally wipe & reformat to see if its a physical hardware or an internal software issue - so new HD for the laptop & perhaps replacing the overworked fans - better than the alternative plan of a new desktop w/ a laptop.
I digress tho. Minus the few little money hardships, repairing a car cuz of getting into a crash & helping out in San Diego's first Hearth's Warming Eve event on 12/13/2014. I can't honestly really complain. I wish things could be better but I realize at the same time, things could be a lot worse too.
My holidays have been good, spending it with family & calling out to family to wish them seasons greetings.
Hearth's Warming Eve 12/13/2014 I think went well.
The New Year went smoothly & 6 days in, things have been calm - nothing bad but hopefully that means something good will be in the horizon.
So I am looking to reorganize everything & mean everything. Laptop files, my art sites & such. Do I have resolutions? I would say yes if I knew I didn't have a nasty habit of breaking them - so I am just gonna take one step at a time with 2015, be optimistic, keep myself busy, go through this long list I intend on finishing & keep looking for job prospects.
So even tho yes, I know my premium is ending soon - I will probably renew it, I've just been waiting for a promo deal to come up. Which means I either start posting the rest of my stuff soon or do the reliable good ol' waiting game.
Reflections of 2014, I've made plenty of new local friends, ended up fully embracing my inner brony/pegasister & overall I can say I'm content w/ all things considered on how 2012 & 2013 was like.
Sadly I know later this month - I take time to remember someone who I lost that was very close & very dear to me, even though its been years, I admit, time has made it a lil easier - but I still remember her fondly regardless of bad times & conflicting moments we had. Hopefully my moods won't change too drastic around this time - if it does, I apologize ahead of time.
So as I end this journal - I'll try to end it upbeat. This has what essentially happened during December & me moving onto January - I'll try to be a lil more active but w/ me playing the catch up game again, it'll take some time. Be well & stay safe all.

CherBear's Thoughts: October into November
I hope everyone had a wonderful Happy Halloween. Plenty to talk about I guess but I will sum it down.
Ongoing at home: Passed out candy during Halloween, things have been more or less tough but I guess I have to push through & still looking for work but no bites. But on the upside, one less thing owed so hopefully I won't stress out as much. Been going out to meet ups.
Online Gaming: Temporarily putting my WoW account on ice, will either return if I get the expansion or for a little bit during the anniversary. Audition Online: I come go when the wind blows. mStar: its been lonely without my sis coaxing me to go online. WoT MM has been meh.
Tabletop Gaming: Coming on a year, we've picked up some stable players hopefully.
Video Games: Would like to Alpha Sapphire for Pokemon. Downloading some demos to try out & might trade or sell some older games I don't play for either the new pokemon game or maybe Harvest Moon/Tomodachii Life or something else.
Artwork: Been working on old artwork, sketching on some new artwork, posting colored artwork, been working on projects for an organization in attempts to fund a convention here which has kept me busy too. Slowly but surely going through messages.
Emotionally: I've been going through highs and lows.
Past that ... we'll see how things go as we're technically within the holiday season. So by all means, please stay safe, happy & well out there.

CherBear's Thoughts: My deviantART story
So I've seen this since I have been catching up on my messages & I figured I'd share a little bit of my story.
I've always been doing art for all my life & it was either encouraged or discouraged but eventually I kept at it with my artwork.
Some stuff was supposedly published, some contests I've participated I had won & some were losses but I had learned from them.
During that time I've been complimented over my skill & was asked if I was going to pursue it, but at the time I wasn't sure & looking back, I probably should have actively looked into it.
For those who know more to me - my deviantART story technically started a little earlier, but I will pick it up when I started this account...it was when I started getting into online gaming. It was when I used an old nickname my friends called me & it became more my online persona than my previous.
It started to pick up more when I got more into the community. Drawing MMO characters & my MMO characters which eventually became my OCs. I shifted from one game to another, kept going & it came to a point where communities I posted valued & featured my artwork one way or another.
With time...I've gotten random messages of people thanking me for inspiring them, asking about art related things & people I didn't even know who recognized me, making realize that people have been watching me from afar when I had moments where I keep asking myself "Why do I keep doing this?".
I've had plenty of inspiration from other artists & gotten helpful tips from people I do look up to. There's so many to list & I can't begin to even try to. Even when I do, I don't wanna put anyone on the spot, but I do thank you & I thank those who continue to encourage me to keep at my artwork.
Even though I've had some self doubts & took a few step backs, I somehow moved forward. I've achieved what I can so far & continue to strive to improve, hoping to continue to make more memories & achieve more milestones - ultimately hoping to continue to inspire others.
Before I was intimidated by artists who I think are just amazing but I take that intimidation & turn it around, tried to get better & I'm slowly getting there - looking at my old artwork & looking at my current stuff, I think I am. After 6 years on this account, I look forward to more & posting more.
I thank again those who have encouraged & inspired me, to those who gave me tips & helped me, & others that think I am good at what I do because without that, I'm not sure I could have made it this far.
