CherBear's Thoughts: End of the Year Wrap-Up

So .. the end of 2013 is quickly approaching & well I guess I have plenty to talk about & wrap up.

Fair warning: Plenty to talk about so if you wish to hear the rantings of a crazy bear by all means enjoy. Hopefully its not too long.

First off, hope everyone had a wonderful Merry Christmas. With New Year approaching, if I don't say much after 2014, then Happy 2014 New Year.

So I've come to the conclusion that I had been busy ever since the end of the Halloween. I've been trying to fix my schedule with the whole holiday season that's been going on. I tried to & made adjustments but it hasn't helped much but with the holiday season winding down, I hope that everything will slow down & I can find some sort of normal pace. 

In-between all this: I managed to indulge in a lil bit. What would that be? Doctor Who. After watching the Name of the Doctor, finally the Day of the Doctor showed & then finally the Time of the Doctor. Overall, I still haven't gotten over it but I've been enjoying it. Now the wait for the 12th Doctor...13th?...oops did I anger anyone out there for that statement. Either way, its a long way until 2014 when we get to watch the new Doctor in action.

As for my holidays, it has been blessed. Hanging out with family & relatives, after my revelation this year, I've been slowly starting to heal but sadly with the expense over a tragedy. 

On top of the good moments, the highs & lows, the lows? well ... flooding & odd misfortunate moments, I am trying to keep an optimistic outlook. Same with still trying to find work but like many things & other local friends, its difficult to find stable work. Did I mention ... my twitter account got compromised too? Thankfully that got fixed ... bad joke, anyone want parkas? Ha ha ... oi. Anyways!

With these highs & lows throughout this interesting 2013 ~ overall, I really can't complain.

So with 2014 -- I will keep with the positive outlook. 

What will I try to do with this upcoming year?

- More artwork.

I'll elaborate with the New Year as my attempted resolutions. As for now I'll keep up with at least my traditional artwork & post them up on my instagram. For now, I wish a Happy 2014 New Year.

CherBear's Thoughts: Little Changes

So I wanted to enlighten folks with some little changes I am leaning towards. 

Over on my sticky thread: http://forums.redbana.com/showthread.php?t=187 I've been making changes; relink pictures, sorting pictures & uploading pictures. After some censoring, I had caught some links don't load properly anymore.

As for livestream: I am definitely leaning towards moving Saturday night livestream to Friday nights now. 

Not to mention; I do apologize for not replying back to the messages I do have on deviantART. Ever since Halloween, my timing & scheduling has just been off. 

On and off throughout December I'll be seeing how Fridays are gonna look for livestream drawings & gaming. Other than that, I'm still working on my art when I can & try to set a solid schedule for the new year on top of everything else I am still looking, places I want to go to, trying to do & all the in-betweens that I found myself wrapped in. 

CherBear's Thoughts: A Bad Start to December

So December didn't really start off that great for me...

but before I go into that, I want to wish everyone Happy Holidays & a belated Happy Thanksgiving. I hope everyone celebrated well, ate lots & spent time with good people. I had a good Thanksgiving & spent it with good company.

As for my ordeal, my typical routine of doing laundry went horribly awry. It started off okay. Made myself dinner, gave my dog a bath, cleaned up kitchen, started doing laundry. 1st load went fine, 2nd load ... *sigh* I went back downstairs to find my whole 1st floor flooded & I mean the whole first floor. I ran into the garage, shut off the water valve & called my roommates to let them know what happened. There was maybe half an inch of water? Maybe less but still it was really bad. This has been the 4th incident, this has happened before, 1 other time upstairs from my bathroom & the fridge...out of all those times, this was the worse. Honestly, I still have that lingering guilt. Currently, there's industrial fans & dehumidifiers littered all over the floor. Home insurance was contacted & now its a hopefully quick repair of the first floor. 3-4hrs of sucking up & mopping up water 2-3hrs of moving things out of the closets that had carpet. Either way, ugh, still just not a good start.

Talking to @MiloBear I've come to a realization that my time has been mismanaged & I've been literally all over the place. Whether it was one thing or another, pen & paper roleplay, meet ups, anime screenings, visiting family, hanging out with family, I guess its due to the holidays but still. 

My art? Doing a little more, planning to reschedule my livestream & participate in more contests if time allows it.

My gaming? Casual, nothing has changed too much other than meeting more gamer friends.

Rest of the month? I hope to continue to help with this whole flood fiasco on the 1st floor, other than that, look for work still, hang out with family during the holidays & that's it, I hope. But with how the month started & not knowing the wild factors, I just hope that the rest of the month goes better.
